7 BFUHS students were accepted into the 2022 District Honor Band as a result of either audition or teacher recommendation and will participate in District VI Connecticut Valley Music Festival Association's Fall Festival.
These students have been preparing 4 music selections for concert band in preparation for the festival that will take place Friday and Saturday, November 18 & 19 at Brattleboro Union High School.
The students will work throughout the two days with guest conductor Heather Trutor who is both a Brattleboro Union High School alumnus and currently teaches music at Essex High School.
These stellar students are:
Gwen Guild (9)- flute
Mary Wallace (12)- flute
Kaylee Desmarais (11)- clarinet
Alexander Clair (11)- alto saxophone
Grace Waryas (12)- trombone
Edward McCormack (10)- percussion
Jacqueline Smith (10)- percussion
Concert tickets may be purchased at the door: $6 for adults and $4 for students (K-12)/senior citizens age 65 and over. The concert is at 5pm.
