Bellows Falls Union High School 'Portrait of a Graduate' Input Sought

Exciting News! The BFUHS School Board, in partnership with WNESU and the Bellows Falls Union High School administration, is launching a series of community listening sessions to continue to develop our collective vision of a BFUHS “Portrait of a Graduate”. This will allow the Board to continue to support the high school’s administration as they enhance our programs and offerings at Bellows Falls Union High School.

We invite you to join us and share your valuable input. We are seeking input from our community: teachers’, students’, staff, parents’, alumni, community members’, and local business leaders' insights and reflections on programs and offerings at Bellows Falls Union High School. As a Board, with all stakeholders' input, we want to support a clear vision for the education of our students and ensure budgetary decisions are in place to achieve this vision. We need your insights and collaboration.

At a recent board meeting, Mary Wallace, a senior at Bellows Falls Union High School, spoke to the Board about the high-performance opportunities at BFUHS which included Advanced Placement classes, Dual Enrollment opportunities, and Early College enrollment. These opportunities and others, play a significant role in all our students' success.

Our programs, course offerings, and opportunities are foundational for the success of all our students. They underlie the commitments our community values and the Board is entrusted to support them as outlined in the school’s Mission.

Therefore, we are initiating dedicated listening sessions with key stakeholders like you. These inclusive sessions will be held on the fourth Monday of each month, coinciding with the Board's second monthly meeting.  Additional opportunities will be available as we move through the fall.

Together, we can shape the future of BFUHS. Your perspectives and contributions are crucial in providing our students with the best educational experience possible.

Please mark your calendars for these upcoming listening sessions. We highly encourage your active participation in these sessions.
